What a Year

December 18, 2018

As the year concludes I have taken a step back to reflect over the last 12 months, to sum it up in a few words I have to say, “what a year!”

In 2018 we introduced multiple new rigs, including our first diamond rig and our second remotely controlled rig. In addition, we commenced an upgrade program to our rigs and support vehicles, including overhauls, rebuilds and replacement. The fleet is looking good!!

Here’s a quick recap of the year that was:

  • 3 x new rigs (16, 17, 18)
  • 2 x Rig Rebuilds 14 & 2
  • Rig 17 mobilized with Cortex Mineral Data Processing (MDP) system
  • A trial program to develop a sample bag scanner for one of our clients – this was fitted to Rig 17
  • Support trucks and light trucks have been upgraded
  • Wayne Gregory and Jason Howey both celebrated 10 years
  • Ranger was joined by two female offsiders
  • Built a strong relationship with the Wirrpanda foundation.
  • Mobilised our first Boart Longyear LF160 diamond drill

Thanks for being a part of our growth and success in 2018. We hope you enjoy the holiday break and look forward to working with you in 2019!

We will also continue to work closely with Cortex Intelligence Systems. We’ve scheduled to install the MDP system across another five of our rigs.
