Drill Bits: Quarterly Update

April 27, 2018

Our New Year’s resolution coming into 2018 was to focus on innovation, including improving efficiencies and automation in data collection. Now, as we approach the End of Financial Year, it’s important to reflect on our progress toward these goals and aspirations.

We’re continually reviewing our internal systems, policies and procedures. One of the areas we continue to improve upon is data collection. We also love to get feedback from clients about where the most important improvements might be made on your end, to make your job easier.

We’ve seen a noticeable upturn in exploration activities this year, alongside a rise in tenders.

Ranger Drilling is looking forward to servicing these new clients and continuing to impress our loyal long-term customers.

Lastly, we’ve welcomed some new rigs into the family! Three new rigs joined the fleet in the first half of this year. Ranger Rig 16 mobilised early March to commence works at Rio Tinto and is the second remote control rig to join our fleet. And to go with these new additions, we’ve also purchased new support vehicles to service the rigs.
